The Evolution of Angie’s Twangels

Angie Harmon joined Twitter Dec. 9, 2010 and right away the amount of followers began to balloon!

She had fun tweeting with her fans and they loved that she shared her life with them. Not too many celebrities tweet their fans, but Angie did from the very beginning.

After discovering her friend Donnie Wahlberg was on twitter and his followers were called ‘blockheads’ … Angie wanted a name for her followers and posed the question. After many suggestions, she decided that TWANGELS was the best name for her followers because she thought of them as her “Twitter Angels”.

Later on, Angie named 3Doorsfan and Sneakymxr as Co-Captain Twangels because they always had her back on twitter and made her laugh.

Twangels will always have Angie’s back and go after not so savory twitter characters who try to attack her online.

And the goal of the Co-Captain Twangels is to make her laugh and make sure she has a good time on twitter.
